Once you've reserved your session, we'll meet to talk about your vision for your session and artwork. For newborns, booking during your second trimester is suggested to guarantee your spot. For milestone sessions, we'll schedule based on your baby's age and the moments you want to capture.

The studio is fully equipped for a relaxed session. I'll guide you through every moment to help you feel natural, relaxed, and confident in front of the camera. You just love on your baby and I'll take care of the rest.

Book during your second trimester to guarantee your spot. I'll hold your due date on the calendar, and when baby arrives (early or late), just call or text to schedule. Newborn sessions are best at 1-2 weeks, but I photograph babies up to 6 weeks.
Plan for 2-3 hours. We take all the time your baby needs for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. There's no rush — the pace is completely baby-led.
Absolutely! I love including older siblings in newborn sessions. We usually photograph them first while they're fresh and happy, then let them take a break while we focus on baby. These early days go fast, and having images of the whole family together is something you'll treasure.
Don't worry — this is the most common concern, and we've got it covered. I've photographed thousands of newborns and have plenty of tricks to help them settle. If they stay awake, we'll capture beautiful wide-eyed images instead.
Yes! The First Year Collection includes multiple sessions to capture your baby at all the milestone stages — newborn, sitting up, and first birthday (with optional cake smash). You can also add maternity to start the story before baby arrives.
Yes! Many moms are unsure whether to document their pregnancy, but I always encourage it — you're growing a human and it's amazing! Maternity sessions can be added to any newborn or First Year Collection booking.
My favorite age is between 6 months and one year, before they're walking. At this stage, babies are developing their sweet personalities, still have adorable rolls and cheeks, and aren't yet mobile — so it's easier to capture many looks. Popular milestones include sitting up (6-7 months), standing/cruising (9-10 months), and first birthday.
For newborns, we have everything needed in the studio — minimalistic wraps and simple props. For milestone sessions, soft muted pastel tones work beautifully with our white studio and complement baby's skin tones. We'll provide wardrobe styling assistance after booking.
Babies cry — and that's totally okay! I keep the studio calm and warm, and I take whatever time your baby needs. Some warm up quickly; others need a little longer. I love capturing each baby's unique personality, fussy moments and all.
All newborn and baby sessions take place in my Boise studio on the Boise Bench, which is carefully designed for baby and parent comfort. The modern white studio is equipped with everything needed for baby and is maintained at a cozy temperature.
